Asa matter of course, the Great Amber concert hall is the new landmark of Liepaja at the port entrance. The constructive elegance of the hall is matched by a restrained open space. This continues the idea of the open ground floor as 'Civita Nova' in the forecourt.
The translucent facade reinforces this interplay between inside and outside. Few materials differentiate the different programs of the rooms and create a connection with the concert hall via the joint pattern.
The architecture leans against the wind, while the surrounding grassy landscapes play with it.
